These stoneware vases by Bryan Newman sit firmly within the post-war British studio pottery tradition shaped by the legacy of Bernard Leach and Shoji Hamada.

Each vase is hand-thrown in stoneware and finished in matt layered coloured glazes, contrasted by rich tenmoku interiors - a high-iron glaze historically associated with East Asian ceramics.
